the serpent

throwing off

moronic

conventions

the soporific

security of

four walls

that create

a chowder

of epistemic

uncertainty

where reason

and rationality

cannot be used

to differentiate

between

good and

bad ideas

words fold

over words

disjointed

going nowhere

everyone had

practiced

the art of

diatribe

rather than

of predication

underpinned by

a world-view

not too far

from despair

there are

judgments

being made

diagnosis

discourses

interpolations

verdicts

in the

crushing

silence

of immense

blocks

of stone

quantum

instability

leaking into

the visible

realm

reacting

from a

loftier height

of vanity

narcissism and

hypersensitivity

the combination

of fate and

human fallibility

littered with

cultures that

have navigated

themselves

to extinction

a constant

reminder

of history

the abnegation

of the here

and now

as if meaning

was being

sucked out

of existence

everything

had gone

through

on the quiet
