a jarring ride on the

cobblestone paths

synthesis bouncing

with the shifting

angles of light

shielding eyes from

the blinding sun

high in the sky

dizzying array of

images flickered

on the premise of

restoring law and

order by having

the right people

doing the right thing

dialogue dashed

amid mutual

recriminations

overwhelmed with 

the weight of existence

growing number

turning up in

trash cans and

road sides

or vanished

without explanation

result of historical

patterns of repression

inflicting substantial

casualties

with inner turmoil

nightmares and

mood swings

slipping into

fever-fed dream

spreading into

the air like a

twinkling burst

of fireworks
